Silvergrass Records is an independent creative label developing fictional artists, music and long-form character worlds.
Our story
Silvergrass began with a simple idea.
Could a fictional singer feel consistent, familiar and worth caring about?
Not because people were misled into believing she was physically real, but because her songs, personality and history were created with care.
Sarah Jane Harrison became our first answer. She is openly AI-created. Her story is fictional. The experiences in her songs are drawn from things people know well: ageing, family, embarrassment, loneliness, desire, change and the freedom that sometimes arrives later than expected.
Silvergrass was built to give stories like hers somewhere to grow.
Why Silvergrass
Silvergrass is both a name and a direction.
Grass takes root slowly. It moves with the weather. It survives through changing seasons. A single blade may seem small, but together they form a place. That is how we think about an artist.
A song is not enough on its own. An artist needs a point of view, a past, a voice and a world that remains recognisable over time.
We build those elements carefully, one story at a time.
Our focus
Silvergrass currently focuses on country music through Sarah Jane Harrison. Country gives us room for storytelling, humour, character and everyday truth. It is our starting point, not a permanent boundary.
Future Silvergrass artists may belong to other genres. What connects them will not be one sound. It will be a commitment to character, emotional recognition and thoughtful storytelling.
